SHOCKING: Ex-minister’s son on trial for alleged N1.2 billion fraud granted permission to travel for hajj

A former minister’s son, Shamsudeen Bala, was on Wednesday granted permission to travel for lesser hajj by a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.

The lesser hajj is an Islamic rite to Saudi Arabia recommended for Muslims who can afford it. It is not mandatory on Muslims, neither is it health related, with health treatment being a mjor reason judges usually give such permission for foreign travels.

Parents of kidnapped Lagos students weep at Govt House

Devastated parents of kidnapped students of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, on Wednesday gathered at the Government House, Alausa, Ikeja, to seek release of their children.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that  the six male students were kidnapped by gunmen from their school premises two weeks ago.
