The Heartbreaking Final Text Sent By Manchester Bombing Victim Olivia Campbell

The week the city of Manchester was rocked to its foundation by the worst terrorist attack in the United Kingdom since the 7/7 bombings in 2007. At approximately 22.33 at the Manchester Arena, at the end of a live performance by Ariana Grande as part of her Dangerous Woman tour, a 22-year-old radical Islamist and Mancunian native named Salman Abedi detonated a homemade explosive device in a crowd in the foyer of the venue.

As a result of the explosion, 23 people (including the terrorist) lost their lives, while a further 59 were left critically injured. Most tragic of all was the fact that many of the people killed and wounded in the attack were children and adolescents; fans of Grande who wanted to see their idol live and paid the ultimate price for their aspirations.
