Suspected kidnappers of Lagos school students arrested

The Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, says it has arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnap of six students of Model College, Igbonla, Lagos.

He said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday in Benin.

The Internet Society (www.InternetSociety.org) and the African Union Commission unveiled a new set of Internet Infrastructure Security Guidelines for Africa during the African Internet Summit, taking place in Nairobi 30 May-2 June. The guidelines will help Africa create a more secure Internet infrastructure and are set to change the way African Union States approach cyber security preparedness.

The Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Wednesday condemned the kidnapping of the member representing Takai/Sumaila Federal Constituency, Garba Durbunde.

Durbunde was said to have been kidnapped by unknown persons at Jere on the Kaduna-Abuja Road at about 5 pm while returning to Abuja from Kano on Tuesday.

Issue nine of the magazine asks jihadists to place fake job ads on local employment sites to lure in targets.
