GTBankMastersCup's Season 6 Enters Quarter Finals Stage



The Quarter-final matches of the 2017 GTBank Masters Cup (Season 6) are set to hold on Thursday the 11th and Friday the 12th of May, 2017 at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos.

The knock-out phase of the prestigious football tournament will feature 8 games that will see the last 16 teams in both the male and female categories of the competition continue their quest to clinch the highly coveted trophy. This season has already produced an exciting array of football skills and talent, and the quarter-final games are sure to raise that excitement with eye-catching match ups.

‘Over $200 million donor funds diverted in Nigeria’

The President of Godsent Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Dion Osagie, said over $200 million donated to NGOs in Nigeria yearly end up in the private accounts of the owners of these organisations.

Osagie stated this during a chat with newsmen in Benin City yesterday. He alleged that about 70 per cent of NGOs in Nigeria are fraudulent.

While calling for complete re-orientation in the running of NGOs in the country, Osagie called for proper screening of these organisations operating in Nigeria.

Designation of Osinbajo as Coordinator: Cabals are desecrating the Presidency- AIED

A non-governmental organization, Advocacy for Integrity and Economic Development (AIED) has described the designation of Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo as 'coordinator of national affairs' via the notice of medical vacation submitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari as a desecration of the office of the President and a complete aberration.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by its Director of Research and Publicity, Comrade O'Seun John, the group accused the 'cabal' within the presidency of plotting to create confusion in the country by its continuous interference with the decision of the President.
