A worker with Bedmate Furniture Company, Magboro, Ogun State, William Ekanem, is in pain after his spinal bone was allegedly damaged by his Chinese boss, identified as Master Wan.

It was learnt that Master Wan, who is skilled in kung fu, had demanded to see a bag of rice which Ekanem bought from a foodstuffs seller, identified as Iya Melo, on the premises of the company.

Grenfell Tower fire: Tenancy company threatens residents in neighbouring flats with legal action over ball games

People living in flats opposite Grenfell Tower were reportedly left “shaking with rage” after they received legal threats about ball games less than two days after the tragedy that killed dozens of local residents.

The Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO), accused flat-owners of antisocial behaviour by allowing their children to play games in the private courtyard of More West and Frinstead House.

Land Grabbing: Suspected kingpin, Sir K , others arraigned

The Lagos State Government Friday arraigned a suspected land grabber, Kamorudeen Lamina (aka Sir K) before a Special Offences Court sitting at Oshodi,Lagos, for  alleged forceful dispossession of residents of their  land.

Charged with him on a six-count charge by the Special Anti-Land Grabbing Task Force set up by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration were six other men described as his foot soldiers.

Boko Haram: FAO give farming imputs to over 141,000 IDPs

Over 141,000 IDPs in the North east have been assisted by the Food Agricultural Organization (FAO), of the United Nations with agricultural farming inputs for the 2017 farming season.

Police arrest fake Soldier, rescues kidnap victim

The Abia state police command has arrested one suspected fake soldier who gave his name as Okezie Chukwuebuka and his girlfriend Ugonma Arisa Kalu from Ozuabam for allegedly using military uniform to steal from people.

Speaking in Umuahia while parading the fake soldier, his accomplices and other criminals, the Commissioner of Police (CP) Leye Oyebade said that one Stephen Nwokoma reported that his phone worth N28, 000 was robbed along Uzuakoli road Umuahia.
