Noose Tightens Around Alison-Madueke, £18 Million Property Uncovered

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has frozen a £10million worth of London property allegedly bought for Diezani Alison-Madueke as investigations into the case against the former minister unravels by the day.

Two properties at Regents Park in London, along with one in Buckinghamshire, have now been frozen based on the request of Nigerian authorities.

Facebook, Instagram experience outages Saturday

Saturday morning turned out to be social-media-free for a number of Facebook and Instagram users, albeit involuntarily.

Some people reported difficulties accessing the two social platforms beginning at about 9 a.m. ET, according to Down Detector, a site that tracks real-time outages and other online issues. 

US to African looters: You can’t go scot free anymore

The United States has sent a strongly worded warning  to corrupt African political office holders, who illegally enrich themselves at the expense of their poor people,  that they would no longer go scot free. They will be investigated, held accountable and punished.

The warning was given by US Department of Justice after a New York court jailed Mahmoud Thiam, a  50 year-old former minister of mines and geology of the Republic of Guinea, who was living big in America on the bribe  he collected from a Chinese company. He was jailed seven years. He will spend three of the years under supervised release, for laundering bribes paid to him by executives of China Sonangol International Ltd. (China Sonangol) and China International Fund, SA (CIF).

The Federal University in Gusau (FUGUS) has set 170 as cut-off mark for the 2017/2018 admission into the institution, against the minimum 120 set by JAMB.

The Information Officer of the University, Malam Umar Usman, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau on Saturday that the university’s management took the decision.
