So the ember months is slowing rolling in and it about to get really interesting in the Nigeria box office and Nollywood sphere has ember month is known for making the major heavy weighting in cinemas  across Nigeria. Although films like ‘’Banana Island Ghost’’,’’Hakkande’’, Alter Ego, and ‘’10 days In Suncity’’ are still screening at the box office.



Best believe that it is about to get gripping!

Various new and old film makers are making their big debut on at the box office. Check out the cinema premiere dates of some highly anticipated films.

‘’My wife and I’’ – August 25
Directed by Bunmi Ajakaiye

"My Wife and I" follows the story of Toyosi (Ramsey Nouah) and Ebere (Omoni Oboli), an unhappily married couple on the brink of a divorce. They are always fighting about their respective roles as spouses and parents. They weren't always hostile towards each other, things took a different turn after Toyosi made a decision that didn't go well for the family.However, for the sake of their twin teenagers, and at the urging of their parents, they decide to give their marriage one last chance.  The cast includes Ngozi Nwosu, Rachel Oniga, Jemima Osunde, Dorcas Shola Fapson , Sambasa Nzeribe and Seyi Law.



‘’What Lies With In’’ – 1 September

This film is produced by the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award winner Tope Tedela alongside Paul Utomi, Vanessa Nzediegwu, and is directed by Nzediegwu.

It also stars Paul Utomi, Ken Erics, Odenike, Tope Tedela, Kiki Omeili and a special appearance by Steve Onu (Yaw).

What Lies within is set in Lagos, Nigeria  and chronicles 24 hours in the lives of two women Fiona (Michelle Dede) and Ireti (Vanessa Nzediegwu) as they are thrown in the middle of a situation that adversely affects their lives and those of their friends and family.



‘’Idahosa Trails’’ – 27 October
Directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare

’ Idahosa Trails’’ a film by Stanlee Ohikhuare guarantees to be packed with agog, drama, mild action and spirituality. The purpose of the film is to bring faith to the big screen and revive a religious revival within the Christian communities. The film was produced by Mighty Jot Studios and will be distributed by Film One Distribution.

Idahosa Trails is about the experience of an American Journalist (David Schifter) who seeks to interview a reputable preacher (Idahosa). This is based on his perception of the preacher’s role in the miraculous recovery of a chief in comatose for six years. He’s introduced to a younger pastor played by (Kunle Idowu ) aka Frank Donga, who agrees to be of assistance. It’s an adventure to get a remarkable story that ends up in a life changing encounter.

Among the cast are the Emmy Award winning David Schifter, Patrick Doyle, Osas Ajibade, Liz Ameye, Charles Okafor, Joshua Osula, Anita Ohaeri, Patience Usiahon, Promise Ogbonna, Precious Adigwe, Florence Iyamu, Aimienofona Efekomwaro, Anointed Enoma and Jonathan Nwachukwu. The film also introduces Daisy Morsi and Adedamola Akapo.
