The police in Ogun State on Sunday said investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the killing of a tanker driver at a car wash in Abeokuta.
The incident happened on Saturday evening along Sam Ewang Estate, in Abeokuta, the state capital.
New Telegraph learnt that the suspected killer had brought an unmarked Toyota Sienna car to the auto wash centre for cleaning services.
But he was said to have pulled out a gun after a tanker with registration number TTD 455 XA with inscription NIPCO, allegedly blocked his vehicle.
Eye witnesses said the suspect, who claimed that the tanker blocked his right of way, approached the motor boy of the articulated vehicle to remove it to enable him pass.
It was learnt that the motor boy, identified as Aro, pleaded with the suspect to enable him to look for his boss but an argument ensued in the process.
However, the staff of the car wash and other customers were shocked when the suspect drew a gun, shot the motor boy at close range and then fled.
