Tade Ogidan's Gold Statue Hits Cinemas

Nigerian award winning director ‘’Tade Ogidan’’is back to the nollywood scene, and this time around he is back with an upcoming adventure comedy film titled “Gold Statue" the film has been in production for about a month.

The veteran filmmaker has released new images, taking fans behind the scenes of the anticipated Nollywood movie.


The upcoming movie which will be steered by Tade Ogidan , has a lot  of star studded casts arguably one of the best productions of the year, and has been described as a comedy adventure that will take viewers through series of emotions, intrigues, suspense and drama.

The movie features cast includes Richard Mofe Damijo, Sola Sobowale, Femi Durojaiye, Tina Mba, Norbert Young and Ali Baba.

It also stars Gabriel Afolayan, Kunle Remi, Rycardo Agbo, Kelvin Ikeduba, Kunle Fawole, Segun Arinze, Francis Onwochie, Greg Ojefua, Etinosa Idemudia, Adeniyi Johnson, Woli Arole, Bisola Ayeola, Kenny Blaq, Bisola(BBN) Judith Audu and Tunrayo Adeyemi.

"Gold Statue" is a comedy adventure drama that follows the adventure of two young men, Wale (Gabriel Afolayan) and Chike (Kunle Remi) in search of a ‘Gold Statue’ believed to have been a deity inherited by their generation.

In trying to locate where the supposed ‘Gold Statue’ is located, they go through a series of unimaginable ordeal and put themselves through some ridiculous painful situations that leave their parents shocked.

But the question remains, is there really a ‘Gold Statue’ or is it a myth.

 This film is Ogidan's second collaboration with RMD and Sola Sobowale, who starred in the 1998 classic, "Diamond Ring."

It is collaboration between OGD Pictures, Solution Media and InfoTech Limited, "Gold Statue" is Ogidan's first production for the new cinema era.
