Anambra State Internal
Revenue Service (AIRS) on Monday sealed some branches of Eco bank in the
state over alleged N2 billion tax default.
Confirming the seal up, the
Executive Chairman of AIRS Mr. Achike Emejulu said the agency sealed
most of the bank’s branches in the state after obtaining writ of
execution from the court following the bank’s non remittance of Pay As
You Earn tax.
Emejulu said that the N2billion tax is the total sum of accumulation from 2011 to 2016.
